Here is the 3rd nail art tutorial for today as promised!
My 5 year old daughter is currently all about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she was even Leonardo for Halloween. She also has a habit of chewing on her nails but if they are painted sometimes she won't chew on them--this design lasted her a WEEK! That is a record in my household, normally it is gone by the end of the day! This design is quick (have you ever tried to paint a child's nails? omg. lol) and simple!
Difficulty: Easy
TOOLS:
1.Green polish- I used NYC in High Line Green
2. Red polish- I used NYC in Columbus Circle Crimson
3. Blue polish- I used Pure Ice in French Kiss
4. Purple polish- I used SH striper in Purple Violet
5. Orange polish- I used Sinful Colors in Cloud 9
6. White polish- I used Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
7. Black polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Ink
8. Clear Glitter polish- I used Milani in Diamond Dazzle
9. Dotting tool/toothpick
STEPS:
1. Start off by painting all of your nails with the green nail polish. Allow to try.
2. Next on all of your fingers but your ring finger, Using the RED, BLUE, PURPLE, and ORANGE draw a thick stripe across your nails to represent each mask. (one color per nail) On your ring finger put a layer or two of the glitter nail polish over the green to add some sparkle.
3. Once the masks are dry- grab your white nail polish and dotting tool and add 2 white dots to each mask for the eyes. Allow to dry completely.
4. Now using a smaller dotting tool or toothpick add small black dots for the pupils on the white eyes. Add a top coat when everything is dry and go find some bad guys!
My daughter absolutely loved this manicure, she would show everyone she came across! :)

Simple Sparkle Manicure
I bought 2 new nail polishes recently to add to my collection NYC Precious Peacock and Orchid Teal Me A Secret. I fell in love with these colors as soon as I saw them and wanted to do a simple manicure to showcase the gorgeous colors. This manicure is simple and who doesn't love a little sparkle? ;)
Difficulty: Easy
Tools:
1. Emerald polish- I used NYC Precious Peacock
2. Teal Polish- I used Orchid Teal Me A Secret
3. Clear Top Coat- I used NYC Long Wearing in 271 Extra Shiny Top Coat
4. Loose glitter- I used a light blue in a diamond shape- but yellow, clear, green, just about any color would look good!
5. toothpick to pick up the glitter and position it
STEPS:
1.Begin by painting your Thumb, Ring Finger, and Pinky with the TEAL polish.
Now using the EMERALD paint your Index Finger and Middle Finger.
*in the #1 picture this is only after ONE coat. If you need to after the polish is dry add another coat or 2 or 3 (like I did for the NYC polish)haha... until the polish isn't opaque*
2. Now add a clear coat on one nail at a time and using the toothpick dip the tip in the clear top coat and pick up a single piece of glitter and make a line of glitter going down the center of your nail-starting at the base of the nail and only going to the center. When your toothpick won't pick up the glitter simply dip it into the top coat again. I decided to make 3 lines of glitter on each nail ( one in the middle and one line on each side) The glitter I used was diamond shaped so I used 3 pieces of glitter for each line. Repeat on all nails.
When you are done add a top coat and you are done!
I really like how the glitter shines in the sunlight but is not too much to take away from the beautiful nail polish itself. I hope you enjoy this simple tutorial!

EASY DiY Leopard Print Mani/Pedi
Hello! It has been a while since I have posted a nail art tutorial and I promised this one a few weeks ago (sorry!!), so today you are in for a treat! I will have not 1 but 3 NEW easy DiY Nail Art Tutorials!! The 1st one is for all you leopard animal print lovers... This look is simple and classic. It's neutral so it will go with anything and not to mention it's adorable! :) Enjoy!
As always if you have any suggestions leave me a comment!
Difficulty: Easy
Tools:
1.Black striper polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Ink
2. Nude polish- I used OPI in Infatuation
3. White polish- I used Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
4. Brown polish- I used Sinful Colors in Nirvana
5. Shimmery nude/Bronze polish- I used OPI in Cozu-Melted in the Sun
6. Dotting tool/toothpick
7. Clear Top Coat
STEPS:
1. Begin by painting all of your nails with the nude nail polish and allow to dry completely. Next using the white nail polish paint the tips of your nails white (like a french manicure). It is okay if your lines aren't completely straight, we can cover the imperfections with the leopard print! ;)
2. Now the fun part! Using your dotting tool and Brown polish--begin making small ovals/circles of all sizes on the tips of your nails. All leopard spots are different, so have fun with it! Once the brown is dry go over some of the brown dots with the shimmery nude/bronze polish to give it a more 3-D look.
3. Grab the black striper and begin making circles, "C" shapes, and brackets [ ] around the spots. Don't forget to add a few random black spots in between the brown spots as filler.
When the polish is dry add your clear top coat and TADA!!!! You are done! That wasn't so hard was it?? In the last picture you can see I did a matching Leopard Print Pedicure. I did the same concept but I decided to be a little flashier on the big toes by making the leopard print design go across the toe, then added some loose black nail gems as some of the spots for some extra bling!
If you try this manicure or any of my other tutorials I would love to see it! You can upload it to my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/inkandcupcakeshttps://www.facebook.com/inkandcupcakes

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions!
As always the step-by-step instructions are down below. Enjoy!
Difficulty: Easy
TOOLS:

5.Black striper polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Ink 6.Black Glitter polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Diamond
7.Dotting Tool/toothpick
8.Clear Top Coat--I used NYC Long Wearing Extra Shiny
1. Begin by painting your: thumbs-purple, ring fingers-orange, pinky-black glitter.
Next paint the tips of your other fingers the following colors: index-lime green and middle finger-purple. Allow to dry.
2. Grab your black striper polish and draw the face for the jack-o-lantern on your ring fingers-i drew 2 triangles for eyes, an upside down triangle for the nose and a crooked smile. After you have finished with your ring fingers let's draw some stitches on your index and middle fingers!
Index and Middle fingers-using the black striper polish-draw a straight line on the top of the colored tip you painted in step 1 across your finger. Now add 4-5 smaller lines going through the long line. They do not have to be straight-have fun with it!
3. On to the thumb! Using your white polish drag the brush from the side of your finger to the center of your thumb, to make the ghost. Take your time and if you need to you can go over it again to get a more rounded shape for the head. Allow to dry completely!!!!
4. Grab your dotting tool and black polish and give that ghost a face! I added to eyes and a larger got for the mouth. After all of your nails are dry add your top coat and you are done! :)

Halloween Nail Art Tutorial
BOO!
I decided to do another Halloween Tutorial for you guys since the last one was such a hit! I mean who doesn't love Halloween right?? I have always said Halloween isn't just one day a year for me personally, it's everyday! It may have something to do with my birthday being the day before Halloween (October 30th), so I grew up having costume parties as birthday parties. How cool is that?! :)
I decided to throw in some new simple designs for you to try out! We have some Jack-O-Lanterns, Ghosts, Spiderwebs, Frankenstein, and some stitches to complete this fun tutorial. Hope you guys enjoy! Leave me a comment if you have some suggestions.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
2.Dark purple nail polish-I used Sinful Colors in Amethyst
3.Lime Green polish-I used Pure Ice in Wild Thing
4.Orange nail polish- I used Sinful Colors in Cloud 9
5.Brown nail polish- I used Sinful Colors in Nirvana
6.Black striper polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Ink
7.Black Glitter polish- I used Salon Perfect in Black Diamond
8.Silver nail polish- I used L.A. Colors striper in Silver
9.Dotting Tool/toothpick
10.Clear Top Coat--I used NYC Long Wearing Extra Shiny
STEPS:
1.Paint your THUMBS and your PINKY fingers WHITE, INDEX fingers purple, MIDDLE and RING fingers lime green. Allow to dry completely.
2. Let's start with the spiderwebs on your thumbs. Grab the black striping polish - begin by drawing a line down the center of your thumb and across it to make a t shape. Now draw 2 more in the shape of an X.
3. Slowly begin connecting the lines. If it isn't perfect take your time and go over the line again. After the web design was dry I decided to take the black glitter polish and put a spider in the center. You can use a striper or a dotting tool to draw the legs.
4. On your index finger use your white nail polish to paint halfway up your nail starting at the bottom, make sure you round it off at the top (the center of your nail) to be a pumpkin shape. After the white is dry add a coat or 2 of the orange nail polish OVER the white to make your pumpkin!
Now on your middle finger using your black striper draw a slanted line across your finger and add 2 more lines coming off of the 1st line. (see my picture above)
5. On your middle finger it is time to add the finishing touches on your stitches! Draw 2-3 small lines going across the longer lines you drew in step 4.
6. Let's go ahead and get the pinky-ghost out of the way! Grab your black nail striper (or dotting tool) and draw 2 dots for eyes and a larger dot in the middle for the mouth! At the tip of your pinky nail paint a thin black line across your nail. Next make the tip uneven with some brush strokes to give your ghost some movement!
7. On to the ring finger Frankenstein!! Begin by painting his hair at the base of your nail. I did 3 small points and slowly connected them together and filled it in.
8. Grab your dotting tool and give Frankie some white eyes! Allow to dry!
9. Now using your black striper put some black pupils on Frankie's eyes, draw a line for his mouth, and add a few small stitches to his mouth for detail. I decided to use the silver nail polish for the bolts on the side of his head.
10. Now to finish the Jack-o-lantern on your index fingers. Use either a toothpick or your black striper and draw 2 small triangles for eyes, an upside down triangle for the nose, and a mouth. Get Creative! Using your brown nail polish add a square to the top of the jack-o-lantern for the stem and you are done!
*After your nails are dry add your clear top coat and wait until they are completely dry.*
Enjoy my Ghouls!! And show everyone your love of Halloween! :)

Bloody Nail Art Design
Hello October!!!! You know what this means? Halloween will be here before we know it! YAY!!
So let's learn some spooky nail art! I have seen this design many times but had never tried it! Today's tutorial is a bloody design you are sure to enjoy!
This design is very simple! You only need a few things and a little bit of free time :)
Difficulty: Easy
Tools you will need: 1. Dark red nail polish-i used Sinful Colors in GoGo Girl
2. Nude nail polish-I used Sinful Colors in Easy Going
3. Matte Top Coat- i used NYC Matte Me Crazy
4. a dotting tool or a bobby pin/toothpick etc..
Steps:
1. Paint all of your nails with the nude nail polish. Mine needed 2 coats. Allow to try and add the clear Matte top coat over the nude polish and wait until it is dry. *this will give a cool effect because the nude background will be matte and the red will be shiny*
2.Using your dark red nail polish paint a straight light across the tips of your nails. It doesn't have to be perfect-just make sure it is dark enough, mine needed to coats.
3. Using your dotting tool and the dark red nail polish place a few dots above the red line you painted and drag the dotting tool to connect the "drip" to your line. I found that dipping the dotting tool twice in my red nail polish and then dotting my nail with it made a good "drip". Continue this on all of your nails--unless you want fang marks..
4.I decided to add some fang marks to one of the ring fingers to add something a little different. Using the dotting tool I placed 2 dots side by side to resemble fang marks and used the dotting tool to add some drips of blood going away from them.
Done! Now that wasn't hard was it?!
If you try this manicure or any of my other tutorials I would love to see it! You can upload it to my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/inkandcupcakes

This design is simple and did not take a lot of time, the hardest part was the star. The step-by-step instructions are down below! Enjoy.
*If you have an tips or comments please leave them below!
*Don't for get to LIKE my Facebook page to see sneak peeks for upcoming tutorials! https://www.facebook.com/inkandcupcakes
Difficulty: Easy
Tools you will need: 1. White nail polish-i used Petites in French White
2. Clear top coat- I used NYC Long Wearing Extra Shiny Top
3. Silver Glitter nail polish-i used NYC Starry Silver Glitter
4. Blue nail polish-i used Pure Ice in French Kiss
5. Silver nail polish- i used L.A. Colors Silver
6. Green nail polish- i used Revlon in Posh
7. Brown nail polish-i didn't have this so I mixed together a red, orange, and yellow nail polish to make the brown.
8. Yellow nail polish- I used SH Sugar Coat in Sweetie
9. A toothpick for line work
Steps:
1.Paint your thumb and middle finger Silver, your index fingers blue, ring fingers brown, and pinky fingers green. Allow to dry completely.
2-3.Thumbs- use your toothpick (using your blue nail polish) and slowly draw a star in the center of your nail. Be sure to fill it in.
Index fingers- use your silver nail polish to paint a slanted silver tip at the end of your BLUE nail. You want your index fingers to be half blue and half silver.
Middle fingers- use your blue nail polish to paint a slanted blue tip at the end of your SILVER nail. You want your index fingers to be half silver and half blue.
Ring fingers- using the toothpick draw a line down the center of your nail with white nail polish. Now draw small lines across the center line so that it looks like the laces/stitching on a football.
RIGHT PINKY-using the toothpick and white nail polish start on the outside edge of your finger and draw a long line (almost all the way across) and shorter lines in between..until you go all the way down the side. You want it to resemble the football field goal lines.
LEFT PINKY- use the toothpick and yellow nail polish to draw a field goal post in the center of your finger.
After everything is dry I went back and added the silver glitter nail polish over the thumbs, and anywhere there was silver to make it pop. After that add your clear top coat and VIOLA! You are done! I hope you enjoyed these designs. :)

Butterfly Nail Art
Hello Everyone!
I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! I decided to try something I had seen on Pinterest a while back...A butterfly design.
Difficulty: Medium
Tools you will need: 1. White nail polish-i used Petites in French White
2. Black nail polish-I used Jordana in Black
3.Orange nail polish-I used Sinful Colors in Cloud 9
4.Clear top coat- I used NYC Long Wearing Extra Shiny Top Coat
5. Dotting tool and/or toothpick
Here we go!
1. Paint all of your nails white! Mine needed 2 coats. Allow it to dry completely.*Did you know if your nail polish is taking forever to dry, you can get a bowl of cold water & add a few ice cubes to it--dip your nails in and it will speed up the drying process!!*
When it's dry move to step # 2!
2. Now leave your big toes white and paint the rest orange!
3. While the orange toes are drying let's get started with the butterfly wings on your big toes. Begin by painting a sideways shaped V on your RIGHT big toe and a backwards-sideways V on your left big toe. Does that make any sense? Look at my pictures for reference.. You want them to mirror each other like butterfly wings when you put your big toes side by side. Now make them less V shaped and add some more orange little by little to make them look more like wings. Let them dry!!
4. Now it's time to outline the wings! Put a dollop of black nail polish on a paper plate or something you don't mind throwing away and grab your toothpick--dip it in the black nail polish and begin by dotting/slowly dragging around the outline of the orange wings.
5. Detailing your wings.. Use your toothpick to draw a few squiggly/vein lines coming out from the inner side of your nail (inner wing) to make them look more realistic. I decided to add some white dots using my toothpick around the edges of my wings to make them pop. Now we are done with the wings!
6. I decided to add a small flower to my fourth toe using a small dotting tool dipped in white nail polish. Add 5 dots in a flower shape and allow to dry.
7. Now using your orange nail polish take your dotting tool and place 5 dots almost on top of but not covering the white dots you did for step #6 to make a 2-tone flower. *Optional* I then decided to add a small black rhinestone for the center of the flower. Now just put a clear coat on your nails and you are DONE!
If you try this manicure or any of my other tutorials I would love to see it! You can upload it to my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/inkandcupcakes

Thank You!!

Disco Zebra Manicure
Since the Watercolor Zebra Print Manicure was such a hit, I decided to show you a different take on zebra print with *drumroll please*...The Disco Zebra Manicure!
This design is colorful, simple, and quick!
Step by step instructions are down below!
Difficulty: Easy
Tools you will need: 1.Purple nail polish--I used Sinful Colors in Amethyst
2.Silver striper nail polish (or regular silver polish and a toothpick!)- I used L.A. Colors Striper in Silver
3.Glitter nail polish- I used Milani in Diamond Dazzle
4.Clear top coat- I used NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat
Here we go!
1. Paint your thumb, index finger, ring finger, and pinky purple. Now paint your middle finger silver. Wait until it is dry then let's start striping!
2. I decided to put zebra stripes on the thumb and ring finger. Use your silver nail striper or silver nail polish (if you do NOT have a striper you need to put a dollop of nail polish on a paper plate or something you don't mind throwing away and grab your toothpick--dip it in the nail polish....) start at the top of your nail on the left side and let the brush/toothpick lightly touch your nail. Now roll your nail towards you to make a stripe! Not all stripes are the same! Some are wavy and some are thick! It is all up to you!
3. Now you should have 1 stripe-GO YOU!!- now for the second stripe--do the same thing you just did but on the opposite side and roll your nail away from you! Keep going back and forth until you are satisfied with the amount of stripes on your nail. (i normally do 4-6 depending on the nail)
4. Now that the stripes are out of the way it's time to add some glitter! Apply a layer of glitter nail polish over the purple nail polish on your pinky and a layer over the silver nail polish on your middle finger. After your polish is dry add your clear top coat and you are done!
Now that wasn't so hard was it?!? And your nails look fabulous I bet! :)
***Special THANKS to my awesome Mom for being my guinea pig for this manicure!***

Jack Skellington Nail Art
What's this?
What's this?
It's time for another nail design!!!
FYI-I love The Nightmare Before Christmas! So now that October is just around the corner, I figured it would be appropriate for a Jack Skellington manicure! Step by step instruction are down below. So Have Fun & Enjoy!!Difficulty: Medium
Tools you will need: 1.Small Dotting tool-I used a toothpick
2.White nail polish-I used Petites in French White
3. Black nail polish-I used Jordana in Black
4.Dark purple nail polish- I used Sinful Colors in Amethyst
5.Purple glitter nail polish- I used Petites in Black Amethyst
6.Yellow nail polish- I used SH Sugar Coat in Sweetie
7.Clear top coat- I used NYC Long Wearing Extra Shiny Top Coat
Now let's get started!
1. Paint all of your nails white! Mine needed 2 coats. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Grab your black nail polish and put some on a paper plate (or something you don't mind throwing away) and grab your dotting tool or toothpick. Practice dipping and making small circles and lines on the paper plate, when you feel comfortable move to the next step.
3. Use your toothpick to draw Jack's eyes on your middle finger. Remember they don't have to be perfect circles, start small and you go always make them bigger-have fun with it!
4. After his eyes are done draw to small lines for his nose and then draw a smile with small stitches through it. Next take your time and draw some black lines using your toothpick on your pinky nail to make some stripes.
5. Paint your thumb and ring finger purple. While that it drying go ahead and paint the purple glitter on your index finger. (if you want you can paint your index finger purple or black and then add the purple glitter-it's up to you!) When your nails are dry move on to the next step!
6. Using your yellow nail polish paint a circle in the center of your thumb-remember to start small and make it bigger if need be. Mine needed 2 coats. Let it dry.
7. Using your toothpick and black nail polish start at the bottom right corner of your thumb nail and begin stippling the outline of the infamous curly hill. Remember it get's smaller as it curls so take your time! Fill it in with the same stippling you did the outline with.
8. I decided to add some stitches on my ring finger because it looked bare. I used my toothpick dipped in black nail polish to slowly drag a line across my nail and then did a few small stitches across the larger line--much like Jack's mouth!
9. When your designs are dry add your clear top coat!
10. You are done!! YAY! You rock! Now go sing "What's This?" or "This is Halloween" and annoy your kids, friends, family...... :)
If you try this manicure or any of the others I have posted, I would love to see it!
